Listing of areas impacted by Hurricane Dorian

Florida

All offices that were closed due to Hurricane Dorian have resumed normal operations.

South Carolina

Due to mandatory evacuations in the counties listed below because of Hurricane Dorian, there are impacts to USPS operations:

• Redirect competitive products (First-Class and Priority Mail) to Columbia P&DC.
• Priority Mail Express and live animal shipments suspended guarantee and embargo lives.
• FAST no redirect on drops. Suspending SCF drops to Charleston P&DC.
• Suspending DDU drops.
• Suspending Target pickups.
• Embargo Marketing Mail – Update Service Delivery Calculator competitive products.
• Retail operations will be closed until further notice.

The following Post Offices have reopened:

 

• Charleston P&DC, 7075 Cross County Rd., North Charleston, 29518-9996 — Facility is closed.

The following Post Offices are closed until further notification:

Several counties in South Carolina have been mandated to evacuate at noon EST on Sept. 2. As a result, the Charleston P&DC processing facility is closed. Please note the following:

• Redirect competitive products (FC & priority) to Columbia P&D
• PME and LIVES suspended guarantee and embargo lives
• FAST no redirect on drops. Suspending SCF drops to Charleston P&DC
• Suspending DDU drops
• Suspending Target pickups
• Embargo Marketing Mail – Update Service Delivery Calculator (SDC) competitive products
• Retail operations will be closed until further notice

North Carolina

Due to Hurricane Dorian, there are impacts to our operations in 3-digit ZIP Codes 284 and 285. Effective today (Sept. 5), all delivery in these areas has been suspended. Retail and BME operations are closed. All collection boxes in these delivery areas have been taken out of service. Priority Mail Express and live animal shipment guarantees are suspended and there is an embargo for live animal shipments. DDU drop shipments are suspended.

In addition, the following Contract Postal Units will close until further notice:

• Calabash Ace Hardware CPU, 9030 Beach Dr. SW, 28467

Due to the evacuation of New Hanover County, effective today (Sept. 5) Priority Mail Express and live animal shipments guarantees are suspended and there is an embargo for live animal shipments. DDU drop shipments are suspended. Retail and BME operations are closed until further notice
